The figure of Miriam and her followers, designed with Julie Staller-Pentelnik, is one each side of the dreidel. Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron, after crossing the Red Sea, tambourine in hand, led the Israelites in a victory dance shown on the Hanukkah dreidel. The victory dance is thanking God for saving their lives. In recent times, Miriam has become a symbol for Jewish feminists as well as a symbol of Jewish artistry and dance.

The iridescent glass of sparkling purples, blues, lavenders and pinks sparkle showing the sandblasted hebrew letters against the pale blue background. E ach piece of iridescent glass is hand cut, ground to form the angles on the sides of the dreidel, wrapped in copper, and soldered on oblique angles. The result is a perfect three dimensional dreidel that spins in the plexiglass stand. The stand was designed especially for this purpose and comes with the dreidel. The letters on the dreidel are nun, gimmel, heh, and shin - represents the verse to commemorate the miracle of Hanukkah. This verse "nes gadol hayah sham" meaning "A great miracle happened there."
